DataSpace Standards
DataSpace is an open source infrastructure, based upon open standards, including:
- DataSpace is based upon XML and web services, which are W3C maintained standards.
- DSTP is a data protocol for working with remote and distributed data. DSTP provides direct support for attributes, keys, and metadata. It also supports attribute selection, range queries, sampling, and other functions for accessing and analyzing remote data.
- SABUL is a reliable UDP based protocol for high performance data transport.
- The predictive model markup language (PMML) is an XML standard for data mining and statistical modeling, maintained by the Data Mining Group.
DataSpace Reference Implementations
Project DataSpace has developed the following reference implementations:
- An open source DSTP Server for publishing data.
- Several demonstration DSTP client applications.
- An open source SABUL library.
All this software is open source and available from Source Forge at www.sourceforge.net/projects/dataspace.
